Everything you need to know about Wordoid2

About Wordoid2

Wordoid2 is inspired by the original Wordoid.com, which was discontinued in 2025. We've built this free tool to help entrepreneurs and creatives continue finding great brandable names for their projects.

What is Wordoid2?

Wordoid2 is a free business name generator that creates unique, pronounceable, brandable made-up words called "wordoids".

We help entrepreneurs, startups, and creatives find memorable names for their products, companies, and domains.

How does it work?

Wordoid2 generates names that follow the phonetic rules of natural languages. You can choose from English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German language patterns, and the generator creates words that could plausibly exist in those languages.

We also automatically check .com domain availability using RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) so you can see which names are available to register.

What do the quality levels mean?

High quality: Names that closely follow natural language patterns. They sound more like real words and are easier to pronounce and remember.

Medium quality: A balance between natural-sounding and creative. More variety, but still pronounceable.

Low quality: More experimental combinations. Great for finding unique names, but some may be harder to pronounce.

How accurate are the domain availability checks?

We check domain availability in real-time by querying official domain registries directly.

Results are highly accurate, though we recommend double-checking availability at your preferred registrar before purchasing, as domain status can change between checks.

How much does it cost?

Wordoid2 is completely free to use. There are no premium tiers, no sign-up required, and no usage limits.

How do you make money?

We include links to domain registrars like GoDaddy and Namecheap. When you register a domain through these links, we may earn a small referral commission at no extra cost to you.

What does the "Pattern" feature do?

The pattern feature lets you constrain the generated names:

Beginning with: Names will start with your pattern (e.g., "pro" gives "prolix", "prova")

Containing: Your pattern appears somewhere in the name (e.g., "tech" gives "atecha", "techmo")

Ending with: Names will end with your pattern (e.g., "ly" gives "bravely", "quickly")

Can I blend multiple languages?

Yes! Select two or more languages to create names that blend phonetic patterns from different languages. This can produce unique, internationally-appealing names.

How do the different languages affect generated names?

Each language has unique phonetic patterns that influence how wordoids sound:

German: More consonant clusters (40%), harder sounds

English: Balanced (35% clusters)

French: Softer, more double vowels (15% clusters)

Italian: Very few clusters (10%), most endings (80%), softest

Spanish: Few clusters (15%), many endings (70%)

When using the Pattern feature with "Beginning with", each language adds its characteristic endings:

English: testerly, testerable, testerness

Spanish: testerito, testerero, testercion

Italian: testerino, testeretto, testerzione

German: testerchen, testerheit, testerung

French: testereau, testerette, testereur

Is there an API?

Yes, you can access the generator via API at /api/generate.php. Parameters include: lang, quality, min, max, pattern, pattern_position, count, and tld.

Example: /api/generate.php?lang=english&quality=high&max=8&count=10

What happened to the original Wordoid.com?

The original Wordoid.com was discontinued in early 2025. Wordoid2 was created to continue providing this useful service to entrepreneurs and creatives.

Are the generated names trademarked?

Wordoid2 generates random made-up words. While most won't be trademarked, some combinations might coincidentally match existing trademarks. Always do a trademark search before committing to a name for your business.
